Saltire Facilities Management Ltd (Saltire) was awarded the coveted Scottish Installer of the Year accolade from the UK’s gas safety watchdog.
Objective
ALHCO and Saltire share the ethos of delivering a quality service within all aspects of our business. We therefore strive to deliver our installation programmes in the safest, most valuable and convenient manner to ensure that it is a pleasant experience for the customer.
Solution
Saltire is a joint venture formed between ALHCO and North Lanarkshire Council in 2001 to deliver domestic heating and gas services to more than 40,000 North Lanarkshire tenants.
Gas Safety is entrenched in the work the Company undertakes it was therefore a natural development to take a proactive approach to promote gas safety and provide carbon monoxide alarms with all installations.

Customer service is always of paramount importance, the resident is at the heart of everything we do. CORGI awards organiser, Dan Caesar, said “What stood out to us most about Saltire was their absolute commitment to providing a high quality service to their customers”.

Result
Saltire was awarded the prestigious accolade of Scottish Installer of the Year at the 2007 CORGI Awards. The award was made on the basis of Gas Safety Initiatives and Awareness and Customer Service and Care.
